We’ve had a lovely week in Year 6, thoroughly enjoying getting to know our classes even better. On Thursday, we were thrilled to have a live talk straight from the jungle, where we learned about the scientific discoveries of Eddington and how he helped prove Einstein’s theory!
In English, we’ve been exploring what makes an effective short story. We’ve discussed various techniques to make our writing more powerful, and the week culminated with the students drafting their very own short stories. It has been a pleasure to read them, and the creativity on display is brilliant.

In Guided Reading, we’ve continued reading Freedom. In History, we’ve delved deeper into the theme of “Empire,” evaluating different sources and assessing their accuracy. Lastly, in Science, we’ve been exploring the function of the heart.

In English, we are continuing to write our short stories, focusing on the ‘revision’ phase of writing.
