We have had another amazing week in Year 6!
Thanks to Ms Smith, we have had the great opportunity to do an art project based on our autobiographies that we wrote a few months ago. We can’t wait to see all the pieces come together in a great exhibition!
We also celebrated World Book Day 2025 on Thursday and had the great privilege of mystery readers coming in and reading to us. It was great to hear others read and to listen to their life experiences.
In English, we are starting to draft our character-led short stories, looking at all the features that make up a good story.
In Maths, we have been looking at converting between decimals, fractions and percentages. We have been looking at the links between them and how we use this knowledge to solve mathematical problems. For further practice, this week’s sheets can be found here: Maths sheets
The focus in STEM this week continued to be on space, specifically investigating meteors, meteorites, meteoroids, comets and asteroids!
We continued our topic in Project of Globalisation with the focus this week being on cotton production and fast fashion.
