This week, we enjoyed a wonderful sports day on Thursday, where the children took part in 10 carousel activities, including standing long jump, shotput and javelin, as well as skipping, relay, sprinting and marathon races. Well done to everyone!
This week was also TastEd week, so we had three sessions across the week, focusing on how we can experience the different senses through food. We made some delicious fruit salads and Greek salads, as well as trying some very interesting flavour combinations!
In English, we practised creating suspense when writing spooky stories and considered how we can leave the reader with many questions about what truly happened. They are looking wonderful and very creepy!
Next week
- Tuesday – Books for the whole school will be given out on Wednesday 17th but, due to our party, Year 6 teachers will give out books on Tuesday 16th – please bring a bag or arrange suitable transport – they have completed a lot of learning..!
- Wednesday – Queen’s College Celebration. Please see Mr Drane’s email for more details and ensure your child brings £2.50 into school if they are getting the U Bus.
- Thursday – we are having a very exciting whole school barbeque lunch to celebrate the fantastic year we have had.
- Friday – we break up for summer at 1.30pm.
