This week, we have been continuing our science learning around life-cycles and reproduction. Our focus has been around how some insects and amphibians completely alter themselves, whilst others only change a little.

As well as this, we have been focusing on mental calculation methods and rounding in maths. The sheets for this can be found here: Calculation and Rounding.

We have completed our stories based on Shaun Tan’s The Viewer and we look forward to sharing these with you on the upcoming Family Friday.

This week’s spellings are:

individual epidemic rhythm
system equipped (past) equipment
privilege building malice (bad)
misheard (wrong) millimetre (thousand)  midday (middle)

Next week:

  • Our English shifts to a non-fiction focus as we curate a final outcome using all of our knowledge from our history lessons this half-term
  • An expert speaks to us about empire on Tuesday afternoon
  • Netball tournament on Thursday evening. Girls’ football tournament coming up – let your teachers know if you are interested
