We have had a lovely final week in Year 6!
After a busy week with SATs last week, we have been so impressed with Year 6’s dedication during the final week of the half term.
In English, we have been exploring the features of dystopian novels, using extracts from Mortal Engines as inspiration. We’ve started planning our own characters and stories, and we’re excited to begin drafting them after the break.
In Maths, we’ve had lots of fun applying our learning to design and run our own theme parks. This project will continue after half term.
In STEM, we have now completed our unit on light. This week, we explored refraction and carried out an experiment to investigate how it works.
We’ve also been wrapping up our LEGO coding projects in Computing, exploring emotions in PSHE, learning how to navigate the Bible in RE, and discussing friendship in P4C.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term! We are already excited for Summer 2 (and the Snowdonia residential in Week 2!)
