Another great week in Year 6! We have been learning about some incredible black artists to celebrate Black History Month and also, we became cardiologists!
In English, we’ve been editing our paragraphs for our British Empire non-fiction texts and have started publishing!
In Maths, we have been focusing on short multiplication with multiples of 10, 100 and 1000 and have started looking at long multiplication. For additional practice, see this week’s learning here: Maths sheets.pdf
In Project, we have completed our unit on the British Empire and are now using this time to also work on our British Empire non-fiction texts.
In Science, we have been discovering more about the circulatory system and focusing specifically on how diet and nutrition can affect it. We designed and completed our own experiments to find out how blood flows through arteries and how that affects the heart.
