We’ve had a fantastic start to the term, and it’s been wonderful to see the children so engaged in their learning. This term, our new project is focused on Australia and population studies, and we’ve already enjoyed diving into these topics.
In English, we’re working on writing informational texts about Rosalind Franklin. To prepare for this, we have been learning about DNA and its discovery, while also developing our note-taking skills. This week, we’ve focused on sentence-level writing, particularly expanding sentences and using conjunctions.
In Maths, we have been learning short multiplication. This is a valuable skill to practice regularly. You can find the learning resources for this week here:Au2 1 Multiplication sheets
In STEM, we’ve explored DNA, with a focus on inherited and environmental characteristics.
We also celebrated with fireworks this week—it was great to see so many of you there!
