This week, we have been thinking deeply in philosophy as we have delved further into our PRE unit on epistemology. We have considered the deep question: Can we be certain of anything?
We were introduced to Descartes and his famous phrase, ‘I think, therefore I am’ and also looked at an Islamic perspective on this big question. More deep thinking to come next week!
In English, we have been completing our essays on whether the risks posed by AI outweigh the benefits, and in our Writing Journal sessions we have been practicing our suspense writing ahead of our new English unit next week.
This week, children have also been tasked with the challenge of creating a Dragon’s Den pitch for a sustainable system/product that could be rolled out in our lunch hall and in lunch halls across the country. On Monday, children will be pitching to Mr Young, who will decide who will go through to the final round. On Tuesday, the best groups will be presenting to the following:
