We have had a wonderful, busy week in Year 6!
Lots of children have been off visiting their new secondary schools for transition days – it has been great to hear them so excited about September (even if we’re trying not to think about how fast the final weeks are going!).
This week also saw some of our Year 6 children completing their Bikeability course. It was great to see their confidence grow over the sessions, along with the development of their skills. A big thank you to Mr Jackson and the Bikeability team for organising this. In addition to this, Sirius and Antares also had a brilliant skateboarding workshop!
Outside of all of this, we’ve also been working on editing and publishing our dystopian stories, and planning tours in maths (focusing on problem-solving, distance, and percentages). In project, we have been exploring Epistemology, and have had lots of interesting discussions about what it means to be certain.
To top it all off, we’ve had a few additional school show rehearsals. The dedication and talent the children are showing is blowing us away!

Parents are reminded that children in the school show will need to be transported to the venue by parents after school on both performance days (excluding main cast). Thank you for your cooperation with this!
Sports Day is on Wednesday 2nd July – Year 5 and 6 will take part from 12:30–3:00pm.
All children need to bring a named water bottle, hat, and sun cream to school. As the temperatures continue to rise, children will not be allowed to play outside without a hat.
