What a wonderful week!
Despite the cold weather we have had an exciting time and quad felt very different without Year 6!
In English we starting looking at the Black history of Britain and the HMS Windrush. We enjoyed singing the ‘London is the Place for me’ and we thought about the push and pulll factors of ‘Coming to England’. We then acted out the Floella Benjamin’s story ‘Coming to England’.
In Maths we have studied perimeter and area. We looked at regular and irregular shapes.
We have been playing rounders and dodgeball in PE.
The children enjoyed our Friday Stem lesson making yeast mixtures using sugar and flour. This continues our microbes topic.
In PRE we looked at sharing – and in PSHCE we thought about safe and unsafe scenarios.
We are carrying out our Art lessons in the art studio with Mrs Smith – the topic is scupture and priniting
Next week are inline skating on Tuesday!
