We are very pleased to publish the children’s short scary stories, which we have been working on this term. The children worked hard drafting, editing and typing up their stories and we had a spooky celebration at the end of the week reading them together. We are encouraging children to think more and more about the audience when writing and consider how to make their writing appeal to this audience. We hope you also enjoy reading some of them. We had a very interesting and informative assembly this week from a parent expert who is a professor at the University of Cambridge. As a follow up to our sustainability lessons, the assembly was about the research and development of solar panels. Children got to see the very latest technology in its developmental stages – very exciting!
Swimming lessons have finished now, and we commend all the children for their determination and resilience in the pool. It has taken some getting used to this set up, but all the classed coped really well. We will be reviewing this system before we consider whether to book again next year.
We have also completed many of our assessments this term and the results will be used by teachers to identify and close any gaps in learning. The information will be shared with you both in reports and at parents evenings coming up after the half term.
Next Term
Term will start on Monday 24th February.
