Year 4 have had another brilliant week! We have enjoyed getting to know our new topic in more detail and cannot wait to see what we discover next.

In English, we have continued learning about the Odyssey. We have been looking at Scylla and Charybdis and using this to explore how authors present choices in writing.
In History, we have been learning about some key dates in Ancient Greece and have began thinking about what life would have been like. We have also been learning about tyrants and discussing what makes a good leader.
in PSHCE we have been talking about what makes a good friend, children have made some freeze frames representing features of good friendship and created a recipe to make a friendship soup.
In STEM we have been learning about the digestive system, Its different parts and functions. Click on the link for a funny video.

In Maths we are looking at ordering dour digit numbers, this will build upon our place value learning
In English we will be doing a longer piece of writing based on the Odyssey, focusing on conjunctions and fronted adverbial.
In Science we are going to continue learning about the digestive system.
