Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been lovely to welcome the children back to school, rested and ready to learn from the hoilday break. In English we are continuing our short story unit, finalising our revisions before we begin to proof read. In Maths, we are continuing to work on short division (bus stop method) and building upon it with exchanging. We are launching our Computing project this half term as well, using Spheros to solve an oil spill. In STEM we have begun our unit on light.

What to do before the day:
– In anticipation for any specific medication your child might need to bring, on Monday (20th) and Tuesday (21st) their class teachers will have medication slips ready for you to sign at drop off and pick up. By signing the slips ahead of time, you will be able to to give us the medication on the Wednesday with ease.
– Please refer to the kit list here and factor in the weather forecast(!)
– Please make sure everything your child is bringing has their names clearly labelled.
– For clarity: do not bring electronic devices or games, jewellry or valuables.
– Whilst we will take some group photos, bringing a disposable film camera will give your child the chance to take more.
What’s happening on the day:
– At the front of school, tables will be set up with adults to collect both medications and gift shop money.
– After this, please send children to the hall with their luggage (fire doors will be open for them to come in).
– Once in the hall, children will be sorted into their groups and what coaches they shall travel on.
