Dear Parents and Carers,
This week has been assessment’s week, so the children have been putting their knowledge to the test and showing us how much wonderful learning they’ve done over the year so far. We’d like to thank the children for all their effort and celebrate any and all progress made – so well done! In STEM this week, we experimented with finding out which materials cast the strongest shadow (as well as how orientating the torch affected the shadow itself).
Next week is Shakespeare week! We will be studying Romeo and Juliet so to support your child in accessing it you may want to watch a performance or version of it in preparation. One of the things we will be doing is making our own poison potions – please can children bring a glass jar with lid to school for this potion making lesson.
Whilst there are no maths sheets to share this week due to assessments, we will be learning more about fractions of amounts in maths and going over what we’ve learned about coordinates so far.
