Dear Parents,
It’s been another exciting week full of learning and creativity. Our students have been busy with a variety of activities across different subjects, and we’re thrilled to share their progress with you.
English
We have finished writing our character-driven short stories and have now published them! The children have worked incredibly hard, and it’s been wonderful to see their creativity shine through. Their stories include everything from outer space adventures to plane crashes, and we can’t wait for you to read their finished pieces on Family Friday.
Maths
We have started learning how to divide 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers, including those with remainders. The students have shown great perseverance as they tackle this new concept, and it’s fantastic to see their confidence grow! Last week, Amazon Class took home the trophy for the fastest multiplication scores—well done to them!
Science
In Science, we explored evaporation and even conducted an exciting experiment to see it in action. The children made some great predictions and observations, deepening their understanding of how water changes state.
Geography
This week, we combined Geography and Art to create meaningful pieces about journeys. The children reflected on the difficult journeys some refugees have to endure and expressed these experiences through their artwork. It was a thoughtful and insightful project.
Religious Education (RE)
In RE, we continued exploring the theme of forgiveness, and the students created beautiful paintings to reflect their understanding. Their artwork captures some powerful interpretations of this important theme, and it’s been wonderful to see their creativity in expressing such a meaningful concept.
PSHE
Our PSHE lessons have focused on learning about different types of drugs, who can prescribe them, how they should be stored, and what to do if we ever find medication. The students have engaged in thoughtful discussions, asking great questions about safety and responsibility.
It’s been another busy and exciting week, and we are incredibly proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm that the students have shown across all subjects.
