Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year! It’s been lovely to welcome the children back to school and get them warmed up to doing lots of learning again. Whilst it’s been a short week, we’ve thought about how to approach multi-step word problems in maths, begun our poetry unit and also launched our history project: Ancient Rome! In STEM we also learned about Sound and the parts of the ear – can you remember what 3 bones make up the ossicles?
Going into next week:
Maths: We will be starting our unit on multiplication, so to prepare for this practicing TTRS at home would be very useful! Especially the 3s, 6s, and 9s!
English: We are going to begin thinking about how to plan a poem uses the senses for our chosen memories.
STEM: continuing to learn about the parts of the ear and how sound travels
History: Learning more about Ancient Rome.
