Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you have managed to stay cool during this heatwave, we’ve certainly tried our best to keep the children at school cool where possible. Despite the intensely sticky heat, the children have still tried their best in their learning. In English, we have continued to refine and proof read our formal letters; in Maths we’ve taken a look at money – whether that’s coins and notes or looking at debit card/credit card word problems. In STEM we’ve been interpreting graphs showing the decline in animal populations in Cambridge – considering how and why their habitats have changed due to human interference.
Here’s what’s in store for next week (in hopefully more reasonable temperatures):
English: We will be proof-reading further before publishing
Maths: We will be learning about statistics
STEM: We will be continuing our learning of habitats
D&T: We will be testing the strength of packaging
