This week in Year 4, we’ve been diving into some key mathematical skills – rounding to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000. The children have worked incredibly hard and showed real confidence and accuracy with this topic. It’s been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and progress!

In English, we’ve been focusing on character development. The children have been learning how to create interesting, believable hero’s in their writing by exploring emotions, motivations, and personality traits. Their creativity really shone through!

Over in history, we’ve started learning about Alexander the Great. The children began their own research projects, discovering fascinating facts about his life, conquests, and why he remains such an important historical figure. They’ve shown great curiosity and independence during this work.

We continued to finish our family boards and have learnt so much about each other.

Looking ahead to next week, please continue to support your child with regular times tables practice – just a few minutes each day makes a big difference! Also, a gentle reminder to ensure your child brings a full and correct PE kit to school, ready for active learning.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We’re really proud of the children’s effort and energy this week!
