It’s been a great week of learning with plenty to digest! Since starting our project on Ancient Greece, we’ve learned about the archaic period and the role of tyrants. We then explored the themes of democracy and how it maybe wasn’t quite so democractic back in the ancient times. In maths, we’ve been making the connections from place value up to 1,000 to 10,000, looking at flexible partitioning. In English we have begun generating ideas and planning for our short myths and in STEM we explored how our wonderfully icky digestive system works.

English: Creating a hero and a monster for our myth and generating noun phrases to describe them.
Maths: Continuing to work on place value up to 10,000 – including 1000, 100, 10 and 1 more/less than a 4 digit number.
STEM: Thinking about minerals, nutrients and how they contribute to a healthy diet!
