Year 4 Weekly Blog – What a Week!
What a brilliant week we’ve had in Year 4, despite the soaring temperatures! The children have shown great resilience and focus, and we’re so proud of them.
In Maths, we’ve been exploring translations and coordinates—lots of fun plotting and moving shapes around grids. In English, the children have been writing their expository texts on topics they’re experts in, from football to frogs, and their enthusiasm has been fantastic!
Science lessons have taken us into the world of animal classification, and we’ve had great discussions about mammals, reptiles, amphibians and more. In PSHE, we explored the Eatwell Guide and discussed the different food groups and how to make healthy choices.
Finally, in RE we’ve been learning about Buddhism and the Noble Eightfold Path—lots of thoughtful questions from curious minds.

With the hot weather continuing, please ensure your child comes to school with a sunhat, a water bottle, and suncream already applied. Thank you! We have attached one of the nets from last weeks maths as some students loved doing this.
