What a fantastic start to the year we’ve had in Year 4, the children have really enjoyed getting to know their new teachers and have settled in flawlessly. We started the school year discussing our golden agreements and school values: Empathy, gratitude, courage, respect and trust. The pupils came up with some fabulous ideas about what it means to be grateful at UCP and how to show our 5 values. Moreover, the year 4 pupils have been particularly enthusiastic about the 5S’ and how to show them when lining up and moving around the school; they’ve made us proud by showing off how happy they are at school.
In English we have introduced our writing focus, Greek Mythology, and our students have shown great eagerness about learning all about Greek gods and Goddesses, they have started to write descriptive paragraphs that are quite honestly bone chillingly scary. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle to school every day, leave your PE kits at school and look smart everyday by wearing the school uniform with proudness. See you on Monday!
