We have had such an  exciting week in Year 4, it as been a wonderful way to end such an exciting half term – it feels like Caythorpe was a lifetime ago!

This week we have been very busy finishing off our picture books, DT projects and puppet shows. The classrooms have been very busy (and messy!). We also had the opportunity to showcase our computing inventions with Year 5. We have become experts at the Little Bits computing and have made some amazing things including a security device and an art machine.

In Maths, we have been learning about co-ordinates including how to describe position and direction, as well as how to plot points and shapes on a grid. The worksheets can be downloaded here. Maths Co-Ordinates and extra practice using the White Rose resources can be found here: Y4 Summer Block 6 WO3 Draw 2D shapes on a grid 2022

In Science we concluded our learning about light and shadow with an experiment investigating how to change the size of shadows. We also enjoyed telling our shadow puppet shows.

The Spanish activities can be downloaded here. These are super resources put together by Mr Lucas to encourage practice and conversation in Spanish. Blog Sm1 WK6

We hope you have a restful half term break. We will look forward to welcoming you back on the 3rd June.

Best wishes,

The Year 4 Team.
