What a wonderful end to the half term we have had in Year 4! We all ended the week with our computing showcases, it was great to see the children present their inventions with confidence and creativity. All of our special guest were very impressed (they especially liked the theme tunes, slogans and advertising posters). The children have been working had on their computing projects all half term and it was great to be able to celebrate this. We ended the week with a morning Family Friday, it is always a pleasure to share their children’s learning with you – I know you will be as proud as we all are.
We have had a focus on reading this week, and have allowed the children lots of opportunities to read, explore and engage in book talk. It has been lovely to hear the children share their ideas. In Maths, we have focused on shape, looking at the different ways different shapes can be categorised. In STEM, we have continued to look at electricity, we have been exploring the difference between ‘parallel’ and ‘series’ circuits. We have continued to expand our Spanish vocabulary, focusing on family members and greetings.
Guided Reading: After half term we are continuing to read ‘The land of Roar”. In the first week back we will be exploring Chapters 22-24. Find a PDF copy of the book here: https://online.flipbuilder.com/fdyv/brbc/index.html.
