Dear Parents,
What a fantastic week we’ve had in class! It’s been filled with new experiences, lots of learning, and plenty of creative moments. Here’s a quick rundown of everything we’ve been up to:
Exploring Biomes
We kicked off our new project this week, and it’s already been so much fun. The pupils have started learning about bioems (a blend of biology and poetry), and they’ve been really engaged, sharing lots of knowledge and asking thoughtful questions. It’s been amazing to see how curious they are, and we’re excited to dive deeper into the topic over the next few weeks.
Art Lessons are Here!
Our weekly art lessons are officially underway, and the children couldn’t be more excited. This week, they tackled the challenge of drawing wild prey. There were so many great pieces on display, and it’s clear that the pupils are already getting into the spirit of art. We can’t wait to see how their skills develop as we work toward our final art project – there’s so much potential here!
The Journey of Rain
In literacy, we’ve begun reading a beautiful story about the journey of rain. The children have really enjoyed the vivid descriptions and the way the story brings nature to life. Next week, they’ll be writing their own rain poems inspired by what we’ve read so far. I’m sure we’ll see some really creative and thoughtful poems come out of this!
A Few Reminders:
- Caythorpe Payment: Just a reminder about the Caythorpe trip in April and you can start making payments now.
- Times Table Rock Stars: Don’t forget to encourage your child to log onto Times Table Rock Stars every day! A few minutes of practice each day really helps reinforce their times tables and boosts their confidence in math.
