This week in Year 4, we’ve been recapping some prior knowledge of addition and subtraction using place value to work out if column method is needed. It’s been great to recap this with them and if you’d like to support them further please give this a go: Maths sheet
In English, we’ve finally begun drafting our short myths, gearing up to share them in a story telling agora with year 5. After receiving feedback from the year 5 children about what they would like to see in the stories, we’ve really thought about making them as engaging as possible, drawing upon all the amazing learning we’ve done already!
Over in history, we’ve learned about ancient Greek gods and goddesses, before designing our own ones.
– Looking ahead to next week, please note that school is closed on Friday 24th for a training day.
– Also, as usual please do continue to support your child with regular times tables practice – just a few minutes each day makes a big difference!
– Thank you to those of you who have sent the correct PE kit to school. Some children still do not however, so please ensure they do.
