Caythorpe Residential – Day 2!
Day 2 at Caythorpe has been packed full of energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments!
The children started their morning with a delicious breakfast – they had the choice of a full English, a variety of cereals, porridge, and yoghurts to fuel them up for the busy day ahead. Spirits were high and the sun was shining as we headed out for our first activities.
Today’s adventures included microscooters, the exhilarating zip wire, and an absolute highlight for many – raft building! The children worked brilliantly in teams to design, build and launch their rafts into the water. There were lots of laughs, a few splashes, and a great sense of pride as they floated (mostly!) across the lake.
Team building games in Balloon Splash brought even more smiles, as groups took part in challenges that tested their cooperation, communication, and creative thinking. Every single child got involved and showed fantastic team spirit throughout.
Lunch was a hit – cheeseburgers and chips, with chicken burgers also available, and a brilliant selection at the salad bar. Dinner offered something for everyone: beef lasagna, vegetable lasagna, chicken nuggets, and cookies for dessert.
The best part of the day? Seeing the children grow in confidence, support one another, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Everyone is having an amazing time – we’ve seen so much laughter, joy, and courage from each and every one of them.
