It has been lovely to see everyone back at school – even if it has been a shorter one.

In English we have started a new unit on fairy tales. The children have been really excited to revist some beloved, familiar stories such as Little Red Riding Hood as well some twisted tales like Christopher’s Big Foot. We have explored how Fairy Tales come to life and created a recipe for a fairy tale to help us write our own in the future.

In Maths we have started taking our first steps to start exploring the concept of mulitplication. This week we have looked at Arrays and their relationship to both multiplication and repeated addition. We also started to look at multiples of 2 and the number facts that can help us learn them – like every number being an even number.

In project we have launched Stone Age to Iron Age and begun by being mini-historians looking at different sources and making interpretations about whether or not life was just about survival back then or maybe more…?

NEXT WEEK:

Forest school is starting next week, please send your children with the appropriate clothing because it will happen in all weathers.

Please send back the swimming permission forms as soon as possible so we can ensure everyone is able to join in with this opportunity.

Thank you!
