Another knowledge filled week in Year 3!
In English, we have started drafting our climate change poems. The children have come up with some incredible rhymes, alliterations and similes for their poems!
In Maths, we have explore multiplications and different methods to solve them, looking at their relation to division and how related number facts can be used to solve them.
In STEM, we have continued exploring how our muscles work and grow, experimenting if they get stronger the more exercise one does. The children came up with some incredible hypotheses and had fun testing them.
In Geography, we looked at the production cycle of food and how they arrive to our shelves from everywhere in the world.
In Guided Reading, we saw Roz go into hibernation after Brightbill migrated due to the cold! Will they meet again?

- Please, this is a reminder not to bring footballs from home to school
- This week, we have introduced a new lunch queue system for Year 3 and 4 children.Previously, children were served at their tables or served each other, which sometimes resulted in long waiting times for alternative meal options. With the new system, children will join organised queues to select their preferred meal option and ensure they receive all nutritional components of a complete lunch.This change will help children develop important life skills such as patience and independence while improving the efficiency of our lunch service. The team will guide children through this transition. So far the response from the children has been very positive!If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
