What a great knowledge-filled week we had in Year 3!
In English, we continued to carefully craft our fairy tales by creating our heroes and villains. The children were incredibly creative and came up with amazing characters, from good yetis to evil princes! We then finished the week by planning our fairy tales, ready to start writing them next week!
In Maths, we introduced multiplication, working with the 3 and 4 times tables. We started by looking at arrays and explored the meaning of the “x” symbol in Maths.
In STEM, started our unit on forces and magnets by conducting an experiment to test the strength of various magnets. We used five different magnets, a ruler and paper clips to test which magnet had the strongest pull.
In Project, we created a poster to show how much life changed in the Neolithic after the advent of farming.
Next Week:
- Reminder that forest school will happen regardless of weather. Please send children to school with warm layers and waterproof attire.
- Please send back the swimming consent forms. Without them, the children won’t be able to participate in the swimming lessons.
