This week we’ve turned our attention to the villain of Varjak Paw, Sally Bones. We’ve considered the tropes of superhero origin stories and how Sally could’ve come from a different planet. We also used a comic strip template to explore how Sally might have lost her eye, trying to use interesting adjectives and verbs to describe exciting moments. In Maths we’ve continued to work on fractions and stretched our understanding to realise fractions don’t have to look equal to actually be equal.
In STEM we made our own buzzer games with circuits, in computing we programmed spheros to tell a scary story and in DT we have planned our pop-up posters to make next week.
Next week:
On Monday it is School Photo day
Maths: Finishing off our fractions unit by looking at comparing denominators and counting in tenths.
English: Writing out an origin story
STEM: End of unit
