An end to a very happening and festive week and beginning of the happy holidays! It was wonderful to see children dressed in their colourful tops and jumpers as they enjoyed their Christmas lunch with friends. Children have thoroughly enjoyed Christmas activities and singing this week.
English
In English, we have learnt about Haiku Poems. Using our creativity and phonics knowledge of syllables, we wrote our very own haiku poem based on nature theme. It was wonderful to see their admiration of nature in poetic way.
Maths
In Maths, we continued to learn column addition and column subtraction using ‘carry-over’ for addition and ‘borrow’ for subtraction. We have been practicing to apply our knowledge of ‘exchanging ten ones for a ten and ten tens for a hundred’ while doing addition.
