Another great week in Year 3!
In English, we have published our works! we had lots of fun editing and decorating our amazing information texts. next week, we will be sharing them and show our expert knowledge!
In Maths, we have started exploring how to use the column method to regroup additions in both the 10s and 100s column. The children were amazing at this and by the end of the week were flying through the additions!

In Geography, we explore the features of mountains.
In STEM, we looked at the difference between fruits and vegetables, as well as how fruits and vegetables grow.
Next week:
English: We will be looking at poetry, specifically Haikus
Maths: We will be using column method for subtraction to bridge 10s and 100s
Geography: We’ll be recapping the knowledge we have learned during the half-term
Important messages:
- Unless previously agreed with your class teacher, we ask that the children DO NOT bring any toys and/or items from school
- Next half-term (Spring) we will be having Forest School in Year 3, which means getting ready with lots of layers and warm clothes, as it will happen in any weather
