This week we have explored both magical and real worlds!
In English, we continued our fairy tales and looked at how to use our senses to describe characters, as well as exploring action scenes and how to write them. The children had great fun building up suspense and writing their final hero vs. villain showdowns, producing some incredible action scenes and overall stories.
In Maths, we continued exploring multiplication and started working with 4s and 8s. We also started looking at division, investigating how to create equal groups of items.
In STEM, we continued investigating magnetism and devised our own experiment to test our theories. We explored many interesting questions, such as “Does the shape of the metal change how magnets interact with it?” and “Which metals are magnetic and which are non-magnetic”.
In Project, we learned about Europe’s most complete Neolithic village, Skara Brae. We investigated how these Stone Age people lived and the steps they took to be safe from the elements and thrive in such a harsh environment.
