Wonderful first week back in Year 3! Everyone is was rested and ready to learn!
In English, we have introduced our new unit, which will be based on Fairy Tales! The children started exploring different books and discussed some purposefully picked fairy tales to find out the writing strategies they will use in their own writing. Next week, we will choose a theme and story for our fairy tales and start planning!
In Maths, we have recapped and revised place value and column addition and subtraction, especially when borrowing and carrying over. The children have showed that their knowledge has not changed and that they are very secure with those concepts and ready to move on! Next week, we will start looking at multiplication.
In History, we have started our new unit, which will take us on a journey from the Stone Age to the Iron Age and all the different and amazing changes humans went through during this time. This week, we looked at how human were not only interested in hunting and gathering but also in music and art. Next week, we will look at,
