What a sunny ending of the week! Lots of learning once more in Year 3!
In English, we planned and revised our Acrostic poems, and the children were incredibly creative, using words from Volcano to Ocean and even waterfall! The poems are all incredible, and they all showcase the children’s mastery of similes and alliteration.
In Maths, we continued exploring fractions, looking at ordering them based on their value. We looked at both fractions that have the same numerator and ones that have the same denominator, and it was incredible to see the children using their previous knowledge, as well as visual representation, to solve these problems. In Guided Reading, we continued Asha’s adventure, which is now getting difficult for her as they cross a giant forest full of dangers.
In D&T, we continued exploring reciprocating levers, building a mechanism in the form of a snapping crocodile mouth!

- Reminder that as we head into another very sunny week, children will be required to wear BOTH hats and sun cream to go in the playground.
