It’s been a hot summery week but that hasn’t stopped us from working hard with our learning (Please remember to send children in with hats!). In English we have continued with Varjak Paw, which children have used to produce some excellent poetry describing the mysterious and sinister Sally Bones. Then in maths we have continued to work on unit fractions – challenging ourselves to find as many fractions as possible with 20 blocks and making our own snap game matching fractions to their shape. In STEM we tried to fix a broken circuit with conductors and insulators, testing out different materials to see which were which.

Next week:

Maths: Developing our knowledge of fractions further.
English: Writing origin stories for the villain Sally Bones
STEM: Trying to build a buzzer game with electric circuits.
