Very scientific week in Year 3!
In English, we have continued exploring Information Texts, learning bout Rhetorical Questions and how to use them in our work. The children have come up with some incredible ideas, giving their Information Texts a great deal of character and depth, we can’t wait to see what they will look like at the end! Next week, we will have a look at how to use generalisers in our work.
In Maths, we have continued our journey through addition and subtraction, exploring what happens to ones and tens when we have more than 9 in a single column. The children were amazing and instantly picked up exchanging, acing all the exercises! Next week, we will explore what happens when we have to borrow to subtract!
In STEM, we have started our experiment to investigate how water travels through plants. What will happen to our celery? Will it change colour or stay the same? Stay tuned for the answer!
In Geography, we investigated the water cycle, and discovered that the water on Earth is incredibly old! We represented it with a great experiment, using it to visually see how water moves through the different stages. Next week, we will start looking at how rivers connect to the sea!
