What an incredible week in Year 3!
In English, we continued outlining our plan to create an information text, culminating in our last lesson, during which we started writing our introductions! The children loved introducing their favourite topics, from Pokemon to birds and football. We look at how to make introductions exciting and studied rhetorical questions and technical vocabulary which have enriched our writing.
In Maths, we have been adding 1s, 10s and 100s with regrouping. The children worked really hard and were able to use manipulatives and their own representations to solve different calculations.
In Geography, we explored the water cycle, looking at the journey water goes through on our planet. Afterwards, we created amazing posters and drawings about the journey of a raindrop!
In STEM, we explored how plants transport nutrition to all their parts and are conducting an experiment to see if celery can change colour!
