Year 1 Weekly Update
Maths:
This week, we focused on using our number bond knowledge to explore missing numbers up to 20. The children practiced combining numbers in various ways to make 20, building on their understanding of number bonds to 10. We also reviewed doubles, enhancing our recall of doubles up to 20.
Writing:
In writing, we were excited to have a visit from Year 5 who shared their incredible picturebooks with us. The children are becoming much more independent in their writing, and the hard work is really beginning to show. At school we use Kinetic Letters to make our handwriting beautiful, have a look here to find out more.
