Well done Year 1! We are so proud of all the children for their hard work in their Phonics Checks. We have been so impressed with each and every child and their progress since September has been phenomenal. If you have any questions, please do ask your child’s class teacher.
In Maths, we have been looking at numbers from 50 – 100 particularly talking about which numbers come before and after certain numbers (e.g what is one less than 80?). It would be great if you could practise this with your children at home.
In Science, we have started our new topic ‘Humans’ and this week we have explored what happens to our bodies when we get older.
In Writing, we have just started thinking about instruction books. Over the term, we will be writing our own instructions books to share our expertise with all of you at Family Friday!

We will be learning how to play tennis this term, so if you haven’t already, please bring in PEs kits.
The weather is very changeable at the moment so please ensure you child has appropriate clothing including coats, sunhats, wellies and sun cream.
