What a wonderful end to this Autumn term!
We are all so proud of our year one’s and their progress!
In Phonics we have been learning the oy sound as in toys and noise.
In English we completed our non-fiction booklets about Eddington and children included sentences with a focus on subject, verb and object all about the area.
We are providing a list of key vocabulary from different subjects that children have learnt this term as a resource to consolidate learning at home.
In Maths we built on our knowledge of part whole models and extended this to fact families with a focus on subtraction. We are working on writing two addition and two subtraction calculations.
Please support your child to work through the maths booklet over the holiday.
Please continue to read together regularly.
Please double check that your child has brought home their own jumpers/cardigans.
Our topic next term, will be learning all about the ‘Great Fire of London in 1666.’ Please feel free to research information in preparation for spring term.
