In STEM and History, the children have been completing assessments to show off their learning from this term.
In Phonics, each of the classes have been recapping different aspects of the phonics curriculum. This is in order to ensure that each class is revisiting the area that needs the most practice following our recent phonics assessments. Please continue to read the phonics books at home over half term – this hugely helps consolidate the children’s learning.
In Writing, we have been writing our Information and Me books using our pictures to prompt ideas. Through this we have practiced orally rehearsing a sentence before writing, finger spaces and labelling with adjectives and nouns.
In Maths, we have been looking at 1 more and 1 less and ordering teen numbers. Below are also some links for websites that can support your child’s learning at home.

Key messages
Each year group has a list of common exception words. The expectation is that children are able to read and write these words by the end of the year.
