In STEM, the children have continued to look at different materials and considering how different materials can be used for a specific purpose.
In History, the children used active story telling to re-tell The Great Fire of London. Through this they learnt how Londoners eventually managed to stop the fire from spreading.
In Phonics, each of the classes have been recapping different aspects of the phonics curriculum. This is in order to ensure that each class is revisiting the area that needs the most practice following our recent phonics assessments.
In Writing, we have continued to plan our Information and Me books. Each child now has a title and front cover. Next week we will begin drawing and writing in our books.
In Maths, we have continued to look at teen numbers and understand that a teen number is made up of tens and ones. E.g. 14 is the same as 1 ten and 10 ones. The children have been using a range of manipulatives, words and numerals to represent and understand each number. Maths sheets week 4 – teen numbers and understanding 20
