Dear Parents/Carers,
We had a wonderful end to the week with our Family Friday event! It was so lovely to welcome families into our classroom and share all the fantastic learning the children have been doing. The children were very proud to show off their work and their classroom.
In Phonics, we have been revisiting recent learning and completing some assessments. Every child has had the chance to read 1:1 with their teacher, and it has been fantastic to see the progress they are making with their reading skills. We have all been very impressed. Reading daily with your children at home makes a huge difference to their progress, so please ensure this is being done regularly.
In Maths, we have been practising our addition skills using different strategies and resources to help us grow in confidence such as number lines and bead strings: Addition_Within_10_Number_Line_Activity
We’re all feeling very excited for the festive season too! The children have been helping to decorate our classroom and are looking forward to the celebrations ahead.
Next term we will be learning about The Great Fire of London in History and Materials in Science.
