We hope you’ve all had a wonderful week! Here’s what we’ve been up to in class and some important reminders for the weeks ahead.
This week, we have loved learning all about Mid-Autumn Festival! Festive wishes to all those who celebrate!
Baseline Assessments
This week we have continued with our Baseline Assessments. Please don’t worry about these assessments—they are simply information that we have to gather as part of national data collection. You will receive the data from your child’s assessment in their Adventure Book in due course.
Handwriting Adventures Begin!
We’ve shared the introduction stories to allow the children to meet the characters and settings that will help them with their letter formation. In the coming weeks, the children will start to enjoy simple handwriting sessions using Kinetic Letters and will learn how to form letters correctly. We will send home resources to support with this, but please do stick with lower case letters initially as this builds the foundation for their writing development.
When I Grow Up
The children have all been given time to think about careers they might like to explore when they grow up. We shared the wonderful book When I Grow Up by Jon Hales, which sparked some brilliant conversations and imaginative thinking about future possibilities!
Music and Movement
During our singing sessions, we have been enjoying singing “Tip Toe Tip Toe”—the children love joining in with this one!
