It’s been a wonderful week of learning in Reception this week.
Phonics – Our phonics this week we recapped Unit 11, focusing on sounds such as /ng/.
To continue this learning at home, you could support your child to read and write the words: ‘string’, ‘thing’ and ‘wing’.
Maths – In Maths, we worked on understanding that 5 can be partitioned in different ways.
Project – We explored the traditional tale, ‘The Enormous Turnip’.
Art Skill of the Week – We have been focusing on attaching using staples.
On Fridays, we will continue with our Outdoor Learning activities. As the children will be doing these activities in the forest area, please can you ensure that on a Friday, children are all wearing full-length trousers/leggings to avoid being stung by any nettles or brambles.
