We have enjoyed sharing how well all the children have been doing in learning conversations. Here is an update about what we have been up to this week.
Our Focus Story: A World of Cities
Children have been discussing the cities they have lived in and have visited. We have looked at how we travel around cities and the different buildings you can see.
Handwriting
We have continued practising the letters /a/ /i/ /m/ /t/ /s/ in handwriting this week.

Phonics
In phonics, we’re working with the sounds /a/ /i/ /m/ /s/ /t/. The children are building words like “sat,” “mat,” “sit,” and “it.” We’re also practising our sentence dictation – it’s wonderful to see their confidence growing! Next week we will move on to some new sounds.
Maths
This week’s maths focus has been on the number 3. We have been looking at all the different ways that you can make 3 and share 3 out. The sentence stem we have been learning is: one and another one and another one makes three.

Children explored fair and unfair behaviour by discussing actions that make their families happy or upset,
