This week in Meadows we have been continuing our project on ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, looking at the swirl of snail shells and reading ‘The Snail and the Whale’. We have enjoyed listening out for the rhymes in the story, anticipating what the end of each phrase will be. In our outdoor learning, we have been digging for worms in the mud and adding them to our wormery! We can’t wait to see how they wriggle around and eat the leaves we have given them… how many worms will you see this weekend?
Thank you for bringing in your books to share a story with the class! We celebrated World Book Day with some special visitors reading their own story about a lovely dog, and with some foreign language stories read by Ms Wang and Mrs Campbell during Bilingual Jackanory.

Next week we will be moving onto learning all about ladybirds and life cycles! We will be reading ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and doing lots of spot counting. We have also had a special arrival of some tiny caterpillars in our classroom… we are so excited to see them grow into beautiful butterflies.
