Goldilocks and the three bears is a fairy tale originally from the 19th century. In our version at Nursery, a little girl enters the Bear’s cottage, eats their porridge, breaks their chair and falls asleep in their bed… Have you heard what happened next? The Bears have arrived home…
As this story has a linear storyline, it was lovely to tell it to the children using Waldorf educational techniques, revealing only the parts of the story that was being acted out. Have a look at the photos on Tapestry, they were all mesmerised.
Our mathematical learning links in with our story, children are sorting things into groups of big, medium and small. Can you find stones, sticks, feathers in the park, or fruit and vegetables in your fridge and sort them into different sizes or put them in order? We are celebrating International Mud Day on the week of 24th June. We will be doing many muddy activities such as cooking, painting, digging and jumping in mud.
For this activity we are looking for donations of towels and 1 or 2 old paddling pools. Let us know if you can help!
