It’s been another super week here at Meadows Nursery!
We talked about our community and the places where we live. Our book of the week was called ‘Counting on Community‘ by Innosanto Nagara which provided many opportunities for thinking about community and also for practicing our counting skills. We made pictures of our houses using a variety of collage materials and we used our fine motor skills to cut, stick and colour different elements of our creations. We talked about Remembrance and enjoyed making our poppies and joining in with the school remembrance service outside. We have also been enjoying playing with a collection of boxes and keys this week. The children have enjoyed using the key selection for a variety of imaginative play including driving their imaginary cars to go to the shops and opening the doors to their imaginary houses. What fun!
We are looking forward to the learning conversations scheduled to take place next week. Thank you to those of you who have signed up online, and please do take a moment to sign up to a meeting slot if you haven’t already. In this rainy weather we are very grateful if you are able to send a waterproof for your child for outside play. Thank you for your help to keep your child safe and dry.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
The Nursery Team
